attitude of gratitude {days 9-19}

I'm super behind with this project...but here's the next section anyway.  {click here for part 1}

9 - friends - I'm grateful for all my friends, no matter the length of the friendship.  They have gotten me through the good and the bad times and have shaped much of who I have become.  They teach me things I never knew about myself.  They keep my thoroughly entertained.  I love them.

10 - indoor plumbing - Who honestly wants to squat over a hole in the backyard?  Or run outside to an outhouse?  Especially in the middle of winter.  No thank you.  Whoever invented toilet paper?  Genius.  Also, never having to share bath water with siblings?  Awesomeness.  I like showers.

11 - government and military - I am so blessed to live in a place where I am free to choose what to do with my life, have guaranteed rights and liberties, and the opportunity to have a say in how our country is run (aka the right to vote).  I grateful for those who sacrifice their time, and even their life, to serve this country and its citizens to protect their freedoms.

12 - cell phones - I complain about how much I hate my phone often-- how slow it is, functions it doesn't have, and just how crappy it is in general.  But really, it does so much for me.  I take pictures on it more than I do with my real camera.  It helps me to keep in touch with family and friends through phone calls, texting, and social media apps.  It prevents me from getting completely lost with navigation and answers stupid questions with Google.

13 - ducks {and geese} - Ducks are pretty much the greatest animal on the planet.  They are definitely in my top three favorite animals.  For some reason, they make me unexplainably happy.  I haven't been infatuated with them as much this school year, but I still think they're pretty awesome.

14 - zumba - So if you know me, like, at all, you know growing up I was not athletic at all.  I hated sports.  I hated gym.  Being athletic was NOT my forte.  Then, one of the summers after high school, I decided to give AquaZumba a shot.  My mom and her friends (who are pretty much my second and third moms) were doing it...so if middle-aged moms could do it, a nineteen year old could, right?  Right!  I fell in love.  The next fall I signed up for a normal Zumba class for school and the love has continued.  Who knew exercising could be fun?

15 - shameless self-photos - If somebody was to look through the pictures on my phone, they would probably tell me the amount of pictures I take of myself is obscene.  Honestly, I just get bored....so this occasionally provides a form of entertainment.

clothes AND shameless self-portraits....embarrassing eh?
16 - clothes - Granted, a small percentage of the population could probably walk around without clothes and nobody would complain...but for the majority clothing is a good great thing.  Clothes cover up some of the scars, flaws, and imperfections I don't wish to share with the world.  It allows me to express myself.  I definitely am not a pro at throwing outfits together, but knowing how I used to dress, I can say I am significantly better at it.

17 - Aggie Athletics - I don't care if you have a card proclaiming you are a "True Aggie" because you kissed somebody on the A at midnight the night of a full moon.  You are NOT a True Aggie if you do not support Aggie sports.  Last Saturday some of my roommates and I sat in the Spectrum for over six hours watching the football and basketball games.  The football game was crazy.  I'll admit, I got worried.  I lost hope even. The last half we weren't doing so hot, so how could we win?  Whelp, we went into overtime, and guess what?  The Aggies pulled through, won, and now are ranked #25.  Basketball did not disappoint either.  I love screaming and cheering on my Aggies.

18 - parents who love each other - It's often easy to take something like this for granted.  It's just life to me.  But then life sinks in and I see friends whose parents are divorced.  Or have friends say they think their parents should divorce.  As a kid, I know I played out the scenario of "which parent would you live with if they got divorced?" in my head (did other people do that too? or was I just a weird kid?), but ultimately, I knew I would never have to choose.  Ever.  I was certain.  I always knew my parents loved each other.  I still do.  And I hope that one day, I'll be able to have a forever marriage like theirs.

19 - creativity - My creativity lacks a lot of times.  But I'm thankful for those who are creative...and even more thankful for those who share their creativity on the internet.  Because, then it allows others, such as my only-semi-creative-self, to get ideas and do awesome things.  Pinterest has allowed for new crafts ideas galore.  Every once in a while, I do create something with my own imagination, but, by golly, others have such nifty ideas!

dear boys #2

seriously this is only #2?  i must write so many of these in my head.  anyway...

dear best friend,
it was good hearing your voice yesterday.
it's been awhile.
<3, me

dear boy,
ha.  you like me.
weird.
sincerely, baffled

dear mish,
i know you're doing great things,
but my mailbox is hungry.
love, kel

dear frank,
thanks for letting me rock your accounting test.
it made me feel pretty great.  and i think you're pretty great.
sincerely, the student who smokes pot {aka uses a calculator}

dear asian roommate,
you made me unwillingly swear to do something by shoving a Bible to my face?
and took my laughter as agreement?
you're crazy.  but you make me laugh, so therefore i love you.
sincerely, maybe i actually have to do it now...

dear bedroom,
you're clean?!  how is this possible?
i'm glad we could get reacquainted.
you look quite nice and clean up rather well.
sincerely, now my roommate won't hate me.

dear toenail,
why do we even have you in the first place?
seriously though.
anyway, i don't think it's appropriate for you to be chillin' in a not-attached-to-my-toe manner.
not cool.
sincerely, that really hurt/never-volunteer-to-clean-the-church-with-your-parents-again

what i've been up to - life dump

Honestly, I don't know what I've been up to lately.
I remember once upon a time I was going to post about my spring break adventures.  And then I never did.

So let's back track to March.

Creighton, Kevin, and I got sushi.  Delish.
 And we went on an epic zoo adventure.

And I went out to three movies that week:  This Means War, Chronicle, and The Lorax.  I had heard mixed things about the Lorax, but I loved it.  And we {Angie, Kevin, Creighton, and I} went up to North Salt Lake and just ended up staring at the city.  I love city lights :)  The rest of the week was made up of yoga, Killer Bunnies, and a slurpee run with a talk on the Boulevard.

The next week consisted of Humans vs Zombies.  After half-heartedly signing up, I ended up having a lot of fun.  It looks like the stupidest game...but if you allow yourself, you will have good time! :)

Some of the roommates and I decided to go to Festival of Colors.  We'll let pictures do the talking.

That same weekend we saw the Hunger Games.  Love, love, LOVE that movie :)

One day I decided to have a "Make Kelly Happy Day" and did so by dressing up adorably.  Then instead of going to class as I had planned, I decided to ditch.  I ended up spending two hours going to the bank and finding flowers and a vase.  Honestly all the flowers sucked.  That is, until I found tulips at Maceys.  Tulips are pretty.  I kind of have a thing for them.

Probably this whole past month I've been under a ton of stress.  Or maybe anxiety.  Either way, it was no bueno.  I would wake up each morning feeling so sick.  Sometimes I just let the big things...and even more so, the little things...take a toll on me.

On one of the bad days Kevin surprised me with flowers.  They're super pretty :)

Thankfully I'm feeling a lot better lately.  I think much of the stress has subsided, although I know priesthood blessings and a trip to the temple were helpful too.

I've seen and fed plenty of ducks lately too!!!!

Oh and I have not seen my cute duck couple in Logan since I have seen them in Bountiful...I think they must have gotten lost.

We also went on a...not-hike up Logan Canyon.  It was more of a walk.  We went back later that night and had a fire with s'mores

Odds and ends:
considering I thought I was going to fail that test...I think an 89 is super awesome :)
Oh and I found out that my English essay was one of the top in my class.  I get extra credit because of it and Thursday I'll get some award at our assembly/ceremony/whatever it is of all the English 2010 classes at that time.  It felt pretty awesome being told that my essay was one of the top just because I know what went into writing it.  There was a lot of effort behind it...and even more heart.

Tonight I went to Kevin's choir concert:

I listened most of the time!  I lost focus in the middle though...
And this is my attempt at a sneaky photo of the cute old couple next to me.  It was a fail though.  But I decided I want to grow up and be like them.  They were cute and holding hands and just being adorable.

Sorry it's kind of a picture dump and awful writing...but sometimes...okay a lot of times that's just what happens.  It feels nice being as caught up as I'm going to get...although I've missed a lot of details, but that's okay with me.

saturday night

It's a Saturday night.  And I'm home alone.

Not that I'm complaining.  Okay, I am a little bit.

Dumb work, home, and boys.  Stop stealing my friends.

My Friday night almost met the same fate.  But it was saved by Kylee and Janie!
I really need to remember to carry a camera around with me more.  Or at least take phone pictures.  Something!

camping last summer
Sometimes in college you forget you can have sleepovers....but last night we remembered that little fun fact!  So I grab my blankets, Augustus the pillow pet, and Richard the duck and carry them across the street and through a parking lot and a half.  The night consists of:

  • Nearly walking into the wrong apartment {Kylee told me the wrong neighbors' apartment. oops!}
  • Kylee telling/trying to teach Janie and I how to catch boys
  • Semi-awkward questions
  • Lots of laughter
  • Pizza eating, soda drinking, muddy buddy scarfing
  • Breaking Dawn part 1
  • Drifting off to sleep on the plaid couch that reminds me of this one
old plaid couch...and oscar :)
I love these girls a lot - they really are tons of fun and I know I can be 100% myself around them.  I can talk to them about so much and I feel like they understand my mind a lot better than most people.  As long as everything works out they should be my roommates for next year.  We just need to have a chat with a gal named Mallory...and possibly bribe her :)

Oh!  And I had other things that made my Friday!
I was doing homework and was in a rather grumpy mood.  I clicked on a link...which I guess didn't exist or something because it redirected me to this:

I laughed for quite a while.  I wonder how many people actually e-mail him.

And then Shayna checked the mail and I had a letter!  There's this funny German guy who posts videos on YouTube and he said if you e-mailed him your address he would send you stickers.  Well I did it...but totally forgot about it.  So it was a nice little surprise when I had an envelope with my name on it.

I got 4 stickers and a postcard :)  Check him out here.  {some of my favorites here, here, here, and here}  Why yes, he is an interesting fellow...but he entertains me :)

I hope y'all are having a fabulous weekend!

dating

Over on Eryka and Ashley's blogs their weekly linkup is "Most Memorable Dates."

I'm not sure if this really qualifies as a "date" {I like to think of it more as a business transaction...but I know that's really not the case}, but Miss Kelly doesn't get asked on many {if any!} dates, so this will have to work :) {sorry...it's rather long...}

So it is somewhere between Thanksgiving and Christmas 2010...I receive a text from my brother asking if I'll do him a favor.  He was buying all the seasons of the Office for Eryka for Christmas, but still needed season 6.  On KSL he found a guy selling it who lived in Logan.

"Can you pick it up and I'll pay you back?" he asks.
"Sure!"

He gives me the guy's phone number.  I text Mr. Travis and say "Hey I'm Kelly, Dan's sister.  He was wanting to buy the Office from you? Here are times that work for me {insert times...}. Do any of these work for you?"

We pick a time and decide to meet at the mall {public place, yo!} in a few days.  I thought that was that...but no.  He keeps texting me.  I'm polite.  I respond to his questions.  I think I even asked my own. {Why, Kelly?! WHY?}  There were probably even flirty texts too.  Barf.

One of the nights prior I mention how bored I am and he says I should come visit him at work. {Woah now.  I don't even know who this guy is!}  It's like 11:30 at night, mind you, but Kylee and I hop into my car and drive to Walmart to go grocery shopping. {Walmart.  Yes.  Why did it not click that all the creepers work the night shift at Logan's Walmart?}

Anyway, we grab a cart and wander around the store looking at the badges of all the employees while we are shopping.  We finish and wander a bit more.  We finally give up and head towards the check out.  As we are walking we pass one more employee.  Travis.  But it didn't register to actually look and commit to memory until it was too late.  All we could remember was that he was a heavy-set man with glasses {glasses are generally attractive in my book}.

So we leave.  I check my phone and I have a text.  I say sorry and inform him we're already on our way home.  Anyway, we keep texting.  Somehow I'm informed he has a daughter named Lily.  Whatevs.

Fast forward. It is Tuesday.  The day of our business transaction.  He calls me a little before to make sure I was still planning on it.  Give the gist of what type of person to look for, etc.  He decides we'll get pretzels while we're at the mall {this mall is tiny.  It has some Japanese food place and a Pretzelmaker.  Logan please get a real food court!}.  I hang up.  Less than five minutes later I get a text saying what a pretty voice I have and that it must belong to a pretty girl.  I don't know whether to be flattered or creeped out.  I think I leaned toward the latter.

Now, as a nineteen year old, with a head semi-attached to my shoulders, I tell my roommates at least one of them has to come with me {online deals can be sketchy you know!}.  Three of them happily volunteer.  They walk in a few minutes later and sit a few tables away.

Travis and I and his child sit there.  Awkwardly.  Eating pretzels. {well not his child.  she's only 6 months old.} Except I don't know if he feels the awkward.  We talk.  I'm not thrilled with anything I'm hearing.  Or seeing. {debt galore, six month old, walmart, unattractive, AWFUL teeth, no direction in life, etc....} I keep stealing glances over to my roommates.  PLEASE just look over at me was the desperate plea running through my mind.  Save me.  It was like they were avoiding my general direction entirely.

Finally, out of the corner of my eye, I see them stand up to throw away their garbage.
"Oh look!  I think my roommates are ready to leave!"
I give him the money and he hands me the grocery sack full of DVD cases.  Pretty sure this isn't what Dan wanted.  They look like the kind you rent, all discs in separate cases.  But I'm ready to bolt, so I don't question it.

My roommates and I head to Walmart {honestly we make so many trips here in a week.  Logan please get a Target}.  My phone vibrates.  "Just couldn't wait to get away, huh?"

How am I supposed to respond to this?!  I b.s. some answer.  I don't really like to be rude.  If I am, it's usually sarcasm.  I think I ended up telling him I had something with a friend that was about to turn into something more and was more interested in pursuing that.

Later that night I get another text asking if I had any friends I could set him up with.  "I really want to get back into the dating pool."  I tell him I'll ask around.  Honestly, all my friends deserve better than him.  I didn't lie though.  I did ask around...I just didn't present him in the most favorable light {I'm awful, I know haha}.

I think I ended up getting a few more texts from him checking up on the friends thing and me.  Desperate much?  Yeah...I ignored him and eventually he got the hint.

I told my brother he owed me $7000 because of it.  p.s. dude - you still owe me well over 6 grand :)
pps. Dan didn't even end up using the DVDs I got.  It was all for nothing!

little lovelies

This weekend has been full of wonderful little things!

Friday night Shayna, Janie, and Tyler Savage got together and went to a choir concert put on by the school to support some of our friends.

This concert was so much fun!  The different choirs sounded so great and I wanted to sing along to just about every song.  I restrained myself for the most part...but I will admit Janie and I couldn't stay quiet for the entire time.  Styx, Journey, Heart - it had it all!

Then later that night I went over to Kevin's and watched a movie with some of our neighbors.  Never watch The Others.  I thought it was stupid and super boring.

This morning Savage invited us over to his house for breakfast.  We ate totally delicious crepes!

Totally awful picture...but it doesn't mean it was any less yummy :)
And then the spending began.  I've spent a ridiculous amount of money today.

The greatest chunk went when I filled out and signed these lovely papers.  Totally worth it though.  Now I have a place to live next fall!  I do like where I live this year...but this new place has many more perks for pretty much the same price.  Can you say STORAGE?!  I have next to no storage where I'm currently living, so this will be a definite plus.  And the people there are great!  So much fun.  My old roommates from last year will all be near.

Then Katie and I decided we needed to go shopping.  We first hit Violet Hill.

I was able to find a darling necklace that's perfect for Valentine's Day...or just any day.  And this cardigan is super comfy.  I love the grey and green stripes.  And the detailing with the black, especially the pocket.  And...robot earrings!  The picture isn't super clear...but they are quite adorable :)

A trip to the grocery store and gas station later we finally made it home.

After lunch and cleaning I learned my parents made it safely home from Mexico and heard they had a blast.  I'm so jealous.  It sounds like it would be a lot of fun.  I guess that's what I'll hopefully get to do once I'm "old" and married with all the kids moved out.

Only halfway through the weekend....but I'm sure with a surprise party and church it will shape up to be pretty fabulous! It's much more exciting than the usual just watch movies weekends at least :)

What If

Sorry I've been MIA lately.  I've had 4 tests and a paper due...but anywho...

I found this beauty on Pinterest the other day.

1 Thessalonians 5: 16-18 reads: "Rejoice evermore.  Pray without ceasing.  In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you."

I believe that we are continually growing and progressing throughout life, but I feel like that growth shoots up like sunflowers during the hard times. However, you don't notice it until you're reflecting on the past.

On Monday Kylee {my old roommate} and I were talking about last year.  I gave her a little more insight as to what was going on in my life at that point {she's pretty much my free therapist.  she's wonderful.} I don't even know how the topic came up, but it did.  She told me how she's noticed how much happier I am this year.  I can see and feel it too.  It's a great thing.  But, I know I wouldn't appreciate my happiness now if I didn't have the bad times to compare it to.

I know that I need to work on living that scripture more.  When things are easy it's easy to ignore it.  I rely on God and prayer much more when things are rough.  I'm trying to remember to pray prayers of gratitude more often.  I pray for those I know who are struggling.  I pray for help to improve myself.

I feel like this should be an English essay.  I feel like I need to use smoother transitions and somehow appropriately sum up my feelings instead of end abruptly.  But, I'm not submitting this for a grade, so really I can do things how I want :)

Just remember happiness is all good and dandy.  It really is.  Remember to rejoice, pray, and be grateful.  But also remember that sadness, trials, and tears are wonderful things too.

february happy list

I can't believe it's already February!  It's one of the most loved and hated times of the year.  I love love.  I love all the cute couples around {and my! many are forming in my lovely little neighborhood. so adorable.} yet I can't help but be envious from time to time.  Oh well!  It'll happen eventually.

I love happy lists!  Totally linking up with the exciting Eryka and awesome Ashley!  You should too! {just click their names}

Here's my happy happy happy list! :)

life as of late part 2

Life has been a whirlwind lately.  It's been happy, sad, confusing, chaotic...just about everything.  But mainly happy I'm glad to say!

1. Big Bang Theory = addiction  2. dart failure...
3. and 4. Pinewood Derby with our Ratatouille cheese car. 5.  MLK day all nighter with Austin and Sarah
6. Coloring fairy pictures at Jared and Derek's. 7.  Yesterday's snow.

First Dam and the ducks.
I love ducks.
If you want to win my heart...{which I doubt any of you do, but just in case}...take me to feed them.
I will be a happy camper.

Augustus was kidnapped.
He was almost baked.  And covered in awful smelling fish sauce.
And became a cowboy riding a motorbike-something?
Whist Terrence almost received a swirly.  Two can play at this game...

Darling Tyler's 19th birthday.
I created a giraffe-shaped cupcake cake :)
We drank non-alcoholic sangria.  None of us were really fans.
Kevin and Creighton had fun with our leftover bottles and birthday candles...love those boys.

it could use a lot more brown...but it gets the point across! :)

Now I'm back home for the weekend.  I needed a timeout from life and I love the simplicity of home.

2011 - what a crazy year!

2011 was such a crazy year full of ups and downs.  I've learned lots of valuable lessons...and am sure 2012 will bring plenty more!  Sometimes it hurts to learn...and that's when it feels like learning.  I think the more pleasurable way of learning is called "fun" and the year has had plenty of that!

January

I started my second semester of college!  Sociology, psychology, humanities, and chemistry.  I could only remember 1 of 4 and had to look them up.  How sad is that?

Miss Katie Plott {Janie and Kylee's friend from home} visited Logan.  She dyed my hair for the first time.  I remember I was kind of nervous...what if I hated it?!  Good thing I love it!

I'm not capable of not pulling faces.
Um...January doesn't really stick out to me...it was almost a year ago!

February

February was the month I started blogging!  Nothing too special...but it's a way to remember life :)

Kylee, Sarah, Katie, and I went to a basketball game...super early!  We didn't realize we'd have to wait outside for so long!  It was freezing.  But Aggie games are always great.

And I made these lovely gems.  Heath {better than sex} cupcakes!  SOooo yummy.  Messy.  And a pain in the butt to make...but delicious nonetheless.

March

March was INSANE!  I was out of Logan more than I was in Logan, but it was so much fun!

I went to California (posts 1, 2, 3, and 4).  San Francisco is such a beautiful city.  I'm so grateful Eryka's step-dad offered to take my parents and I on a tour of the city!  He knew the ins and outs and was great at navigating since he knew the city so well.

I tried my first bowl of clam chowder.  Delicious!

Ghirardelli Square.  Chocolate is always divine

Lombard Street
But we didn't go to California just to sight-see...we went for a wedding!

Daniel and Eryka make a gorgeous couple {you can follow their blog here}

It also included friends who made me feel awful.  But more importantly it included friends who reminded me of how special I am.  It makes me tear up just thinking about them.  Thanks Sarah, Janie, and especially Kylee.  Kylee knew how to make me talk when others didn't.  And she knew what to say.

That month we also met the boys across the hall.  Yep.  It took us until March even though we had been living there since August.  Pathetic...but that's life haha :)

And I went down to Bountiful for work a bunch.  It was just for training...every Thursday.  Not the most convenient...but it's better than not having a job!

April

Stephanie and Eric got engaged on April Fools Day.

The roommates and I met Biggest Loser contestants and worked out with Brett {from the show}. Yep.  He was pretty awesome.  Or maybe pretty and awesome.

The roommates and the boys across the hall went to Lagoon.  I went on Skycoaster for my first time.  So scary...but SO fun! {you would think I'd have gone on it before now...considering it was my fifth year working there...}

There was bacon-shaped cake.  And schedule planning for the fall.  And taking webcam pictures like I belong on 16 and Pregnant {except I don't!} {april blogs}

Oh and I found ducks in a parking lot by the stadium.  I like ducks :)

May

Finals could not be over soon enough!  I was SO ready to move home.  Packing was a beast.  But thankfully once I got home I had family who brought all my stuff inside our home under ten minutes!  I wish taking it to my car would have gone that fast!

The weekend after I got home my family participated in Race for the Cure.  I've participated before, but it was a different feeling this year since breast cancer had hit home.  Aunt Tracey is an amazing lady!

love this family!
love them!
I find {this} post funny.  In it I comment on how, depending on the day, you interact with some pretty interesting characters.  And at the end I say "Life is pretty quiet.  Not uneventful...but lacking major events."
And then the NEXT Saturday....this happens!

If you can't tell, I have a black eye!  Well...had.  That's a story I never talked about on here yet!  Maybe later I'll have to do the story justice...but longish story short...I got punched in the face by a random lady at work!

June

June must have been filled with work.  I can't find pictures.  And there's one blog post.  But work was great.  I love the people I work with and hope most of them will be there this coming summer too!

July

July was full of work, fireworks, and Steph's wedding.

I watched fireworks on top of the rec center with Kevin.

I never got wedding pictures onto my computer...but the wedding was pretty!  And seemed to fit Stephanie perfectly.  The weather was everywhere that day...from blinding sun to pouring rain.  Not the greatest for an outdoor wedding...but we made it work!  I loved having family in town, especially Heather!

August

Some of the old roommates and I went camping up to Hunts property.  It was so much fun!

Did you know I'm a lumberjack?
P.S.  dull axes are awful
4-wheeling fun!
No wonder we're all single... :)

Sleepover fun!

So bright...we're blinding each other with our beauty!
The best friend left on his LDS mission.

Work went back to weekends.

I moved back to Logan for school.  Met new roommates.  Met new friends.  Settled into my new home.

September

I turned twenty.  No more being a teenager for me!

Finally blogged about my "lovely Logan home" with pictures.

Played A LOT of Just Dance 2.

Went to Cobra Starship with Sierra at the U {for free}

Participated in a Guinness World Record.  World's Longest Kissing Chain? Check.  We also camped on the quad.

Was a big girl and got my car fixed {take 1}

October

What a wonderful month!  Life was quite blissful :)

General Conference.

Made new friends at the Trophy House {Just Dance, game nights, and movie nights (my fav)}

Home was broken into.  Thankfully it was a prank.  Dumb I1 boys...except we love them still!  But we did learn how to use the deadbolt.

Discovered the wonderfulness of Violet Hill Boutique.

Had a leaf bug on my nose.

And put Pinterest to good use...by actually doing some of the projects I've pinned!

And going to the North Logan Pumpkin Walk was delightful.  So much creativity and hard work!

My car broke {take two}.  Thankfully it was in a parking lot again.  And thankfully it's been working since then {knock on wood}

Best friend came home.

Can I just say how much I loved wearing a tutu?  They are so much fun!  I missed out as a child...but maybe I appreciate it more now?  haha who knows?

What a cute peacock!  I was super jealous of her costume :)
November

I cranked out a huge paper in a day and a half {research and all!}  The teacher thought it was great enough he asked permission to use it as an example for next semester.  Score.

Katie and I celebrated 11:11 on 11/11/11.  We both screamed and freaked out and made a wish like little kids.  I think I remember my wish.  If not, I guess it wasn't that good haha.

Thanksgiving.  Awesome.  I love having a mom that can cook.  And sister/sister-in-law/me that can pitch in.  The only thing that would make it better is having more family here next time!

Football with Dad.  Pressbox seats.  Free lunch.  Also went down to the sideline.  Awesome.

Tried to give blood.  Not super successful.  Gave up after being there for over 2 hours.

December

Roommate Christmas.  I love pretty presents.

I love friends.

Went through mega-stress/worry.  Thankfully everything ended up okay.

Then came a different stress: finals.  After going through the previous week they were {almost} a welcoming sight.  Grades went well.  All A's and one A-.  I was quite content.

Christmas was great!  Church was full of wonderful music.  Later, the nieces came over and we opened presents about 2.  Everything was perfect!  My family knows each other well.

Hanging out with Katie {the roommate} over the break.  And just talking for over three hours.  Love her!

Tomorrow is my sister's birthday {happy birthday Steph!} and New Year's Eve.  It'll be spent with friends welcoming in the new year!

I'm excited for what it has in store.
